• How to make a reservation?

       Please book your reservations for The Lodge @ Charlie's Country Place, through the Airbnb link on our website or you can also make reservations directly on the Airbnb website; The Lodge

• Pet Policy and charge

       The Lodge is a dog-friendly property, and we are happy to host maximum two,  well-socialized, well-trained dogs per reservation. A pet fee of $50 per stay will be applied. In all outdoor areas, your dog must be leashed and under full control of their handler. Any property damages caused by pets will be assessed and you may be charged for the repair and/or replacement of any damaged item at the sole discretion of management. If your dog is over 60 lbs. please contact us via email to discuss the accommodation.

       Should you decide to leave your dog(s) unattended at The Lodge for any period of time, the dog(s) must be left in a crate.  You’re welcome to bring your own crate or, upon request, we have two crates available at The Lodge; one for small and one for medium size dogs.

       Alternatively, there is a wonderful dog boarding facility just a few miles away from The Lodge, at 34 Allen Road, Argyle, NY, called Anastasia Acres. They are able to accommodate daytime or overnight boarding as long as your dogs are well socialized.  Reservations are requested.  Anastasia’s phone number is 518 538-5209.

 

• Vegetarian diet and policy

       We ask that our guests store, prepare and consume foots that are consistent with vegetarian diets.  No meat, pork, poultry, or fish products are permitted at The Lodge.  We are committed to sustainability, which is why we are proud to offer vegetarian and plant-based diets to our guests. We believe in doing our part to protect the environment and provide fresh, local produce that not only tastes great but also aligns with our values. Our garden is filled with a variety of vegetables and herbs that we incorporate into our meals, as well as organic eggs and dairy products from local suppliers. If you want to take your culinary experience to the next level, you can even book our vegetarian chef service, which will leave your taste buds singing.

 

• Smoking policy

       The Lodge is a smoke-free property. Please be aware that, if you or your guests choose to smoke in any part of the interior premises,  a $500 cleaning fee will be added to your bill. There are ample areas outdoors for smoking away from other guests and we kindly ask that you dispose of your smoking waste in a safe and non-littering fashion.

 

• What is the cancellation policy?

       Up to 30 days prior to check-in: Full refund

       29-14 days prior to check-in: 50% refund

       13-7 days prior to check-in: 25% refund

       6 days and less prior to check-in: No refund

 

• Maximum guests and fee for extra guests

       8 guests maximum.  There is the possibility of accommodating one extra guest on a sleep sofa that's located in the Library. The fee for an additional guest is $100.00 per night.

• Do you accept bookings for one room?

       No. The Lodge currently only accepts bookings for the entire property.

       At The Lodge, we aim to create memorable experiences for our guests which both reflect and protect the unique environment and community in which we are located.  This sustainability ethos has become our daily way of life, and that of our guests during their stay at The Lodge, and hopefully long after they've return home. We have absolute respect for the community in which we are located and the impact of tourism on the people, heritage and environment of the area. We are particularly focused on the preservation of local culture, heritage and the environment.

       We can help arranging for pick up and drop off services with Chuck Dutcher’s Driving Service.

       We have a 4-car parking area available for our guests

Check in and check out

​

• What time is check-in and check-out?

       Check-in: Begins at 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on your check-in date.

       Check out: By 11:00 a.m. on your check-out date.

 

• Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?

       Early or late check-in or check-out is possible according to availability.  There will be an additional fee for early or late check-in or check-out according to the specific request and circumstance.

 

• How do I check in if I am arriving after hours?

       If you will be arriving after hours, please contact us as early as possible via text or call 518.316.1751 or email at info@charliescountryplace.com

 

• Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?

       Yes, please see our manager for luggage storage before check-in, or after check-out.

 

• Is any meal included in my room rate?

      There are no meals included with your room rate, however there will be farm fresh eggs, local coffee, dairy products, and maple syrup in the Welcome Basket which you are welcome to enjoy.  Special Meals prepared by one of our excellent chefs and Picnic lunches can be prepared according to your request.  Please contact Klara to make arrangements.
